Ronald Lionel Dias was an American animator and painter who began his career in 1956 after winning a stamp animation contest organized jointly by the U.S. Post Office, the U.S. Office of Education and Counsel of Chief State Schools' officers. The art director and background painter is most known for his work on The Secret of NIMH (1982), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)and Beauty and the Beast (1991). He died on July 30, 2013.
