Selma Lan, influenced by her father and grandfather, both master calligraphers, has practiced calligraphy since childhood in China. Her work carries the essence of traditional Chinese calligraphy, infused with her own style. For her, calligraphy brings tranquility and reflection—it is an expression of emotion, a dialogue with herself, and a form of artistic meditation. Her calligraphy and paintings have been featured in concerts, cultural events, fashion campaigns, and fine dining venues. She has collaborated with Tiffany & Co. and led workshops for Adobe, the UMLAUF Museum, the City of Austin, and more.
