BIO
Bill Stearn is an Austin-based artist whose creative process utilizes found objects from his surroundings such as city bus tickets or torn cardboard, and often seeks out scraps and recycled materials with textured patterns to use as stamps or stencils for aerosol paints.
The industrial influence of these found materials plays well with his urban imagery. Since moving to Austin, Stearn has been strongly influenced by the ever-changing downtown skyline of the city, particularly the new Independent high rise, affectionately referred to by locals as “the Jenga tower”.
Each piece is uniquely hand-framed by the artist from reclaimed moulding scraps. His miniature paintings are perfect for small spaces or tiny homes!
