Much of my inspiration derives from my years spent living in the Southwest United States and my road travels across western Mexico.
My original works are ‘old school’, hand painted on paper, canvas or wood panels. I would describe my work as closer in influence to graphic design than purely painterly. The repetition of patterns and animals that are the themes and characters in my visual narratives are a result of my deep appreciation of nature.
I have been illustrating and painting all of my life, but find I learn something more about myself and my work with each new painting. I consider myself to be largely self taught at this point. Creating is a joy and meditation for me. Each piece has a little bit of my heart.
