Alexandre Zerbé’s cityscapes are evocative, hip, and distinctly urban. Using solids blocks of color and thick lines, Zerbé manages to create off- kilter perspectives that keep the viewer guessing. Based out of Montreal, Zerbé takes inspiration from photographing the pulse of his home city, and other places he visits. He is interested in the geometry of the urban landscape, the vertical and horizontal intersections of lines that make up a modern city. His work is also known for its bold, risky choices of color, and his mysterious emotive tones that set the scene in his various compositions.
